L'homme le plus jeune est un ancien routier, il allait et venait entre l'Irak et la Turquie. Il a arrêté car il ne gagnait pas assez. Son frère a été tué dans la guérilla. Il travaille maintenant pour Petrus, l'homme au volant. Il est ouvrier et travailleur agricole. Petrus vit en France depuis trente ans. Il est chaldéen, réfugié politique. Les Chrétiens chaldéens de la région de Silopi ont fuit les massacres en 1991 pour se réfugier à 80% en France, à Sarcelle, en banlieue parisienne. Il se bat depuis les années soixante pour les droits de sa communauté. Il y a quelques années il est revenu à Silopi pour entreprendre un long combat: reconstruire son village.
