Oxana was ten years old in 1986, at the time of the disaster. She was in Pripyat on the day of the explosion. His parents were in Chernobyl. They were evacuated and relocated to slavutych. Pripyat, pride of the USSR, was the new town built for Chernobyl workers. She remembers being awakened in the night by the explosion, and the glowing sky.<br />
